Purpose
This course is to give you an introduction to stock options in a way that is simplistic and doesn’t go down the rabbit hole of technical details of the Black-Scholes Model (a Nobel prize-winning mathematical model to solve for option pricing).
Of course, by the very nature of options, I can’t promise everything will just click instantly. For me, it took time to go from “what’s a call?” to be able to speak the language. And by no means am I an options guru that understands everything on the topic regarding the theoretical and mathematics behind them, otherwise, I would be in the world of academics. Where I believe I add value is taking a topic that seems complex and breaking it down to understand it from a practical point of view.
It helps to go through this course in order, as that was my thought process when I created it (starting with a high level and getting more technical as we go on).
We will cover what I would consider the basic strategies: Buying Calls/Puts, Cash Secured Puts, Covered Calls, Vertical Spreads, and Iron Condors.
So, with that little introduction let’s get started getting you from 0 knowledge to being able to understand what the heck people are saying when they talk options.
